Welcome to Old Guide Books
This site's focus is on the various travel guide books or atlases that were published pre WW2. The old maps and town plans that are found in them have places that have drastically changed in this modern era, and the cartography is better than their modern day equivalent. This site will appeal to the collector, historian and genealogist. I will eventually add scans of old maps and town plans from my own collection of Guide books and Atlases.
